After a major overhaul, the Encanto Don Florencio was reopened to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the city of Sancti Spiritus in 2014. The hotel is named after the home's former owner, a wealthy landowner who in the early 20th century, during the economic boom of the region, decided to build a majestic house according to his economic and social standing.
Sancti Spiritus is a charming colonial city and the Encanto Don Florencio is located in the very heart of town. It is situated on a pedestrian street, filled with shops, private businesses and just 400 meters from the main square.
E Don Florencio HotelThe hotel’s central location is perfect to go out into the city and become acquainted with its colonial charm and local people. Eighteenth and nineteenth-century buildings include the Main Parish Church and the Colonial Art Museum, just to name two.
The best rooms are on the second floor, from whose balconies you can fully appreciate the boulevard. Guests with unlimited mobility need to book a room on the first floor as the stairs are pretty steep and there’s no elevator.
