Description
If you are a hiking lover, you cannot miss this guided walking tour to El Cubo de la Galga
This is one of those places you cannot miss during your visit to the island.
Immerse yourself in this ancient environment and enjoy the lushness of the picturesque laurel forest of La Palma.
After pick up, you will head northeast towards the municipality of Puntallana in search of the Laurisilva forest, which originated in the Tertiary period, more than 20 million years ago, and which conserves its characteristic greenness throughout the year due to the horizontal rain generated by the trade winds.
Its leafiness will surprise you and take you, at times, to an enchanted forest where the big ferns, the mist, and the humidity, accompanied by the rest of the flora and fauna of the place, will be the real protagonists.
After exploring El Cubo de La Galga with your guide, you will ascend to the Mirador of Somada Alta. If the day is clear, you will be able to see the neighboring islands of Tenerife and La Gomera, as well as the villages of Los Sauces and San Andrés.
From there you will descend to El Mirador de San Bartolo, located in the area of San Bartolomé. Enjoy great views of the place and listen to its great history and to a romantic but tragic legend at the cliff El Salto del Enamorado (The Lover’s Leap).
