There is no better address for breakfast than a discreet view outside, without a sign, El Café. This is where you get the best (!) Coffee in all of Cuba, but also throughout the day you will have a delicious breakfast and lunch. On the fixed card you can choose between eggs with additives (bacon, hummus, vegetables, cheese, ham) and the bread of your own cooking. A great vegan option is hummus with vegetable sticks. For sweets, we recommend pancakes with fruit and Cuban honey.
Coffee is perhaps the only one of all the places on the list, completely specialized in the sale of coffees, breakfasts and light meals. The cafeteria-restaurant, located on Calle Amargura in Old Havana, works with fresh seasonal ingredients, so it offers an interesting variety of sandwiches made with artisanal bread.
It’s home to Havana’s best breakfast—serving everything from toasted doorstop sarnies to granola to a blowout plate of eggs, home-baked sourdough bread, cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers. The fresh fruit juices and coffees are delectable, plus there’s a resident cat to keep you company.
