City Tour in Cusco 1-Visit to the Cathedral of Cusco: We will start the tour at the majestic Cathedral of Cusco, a colonial work of art that houses pieces of the Cusco School and dazzling details in gold and silver. Here you will learn more about the fusion between Inca and Spanish traditions. 2.- Visit to Coricancha: Then, we will go to the Temple of the Sun, Coricancha, the most important sacred precinct of the Inca period. This site allows us to appreciate how Inca architecture and colonial constructions are integrated. 3.- Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Site: We will continue to Sacsayhuaman, a ceremonial fortress with huge stones assembled without mortar. In addition to learning about its architecture, you can enjoy panoramic views of Cusco. 4.- Q'enqo (Labyrinth): Next stop will be Q'enqo, an enigmatic ceremonial center known as the “Labyrinth”. Here you will see rock carvings and an altar used in important rituals, reflecting Inca spirituality. 5.- Visit to Puca Pucará (Red Fortress): Afterwards, we will go to Puca Pucará, also called the Red Fortress, a fortification that served as a control and defense point, with impressive views of the Andean valleys. 6.- Visit to Tambomachay: Finally, we will visit Tambomachay, the “Bath of the Inca”, a ceremonial center dedicated to water, with canals and fountains that reflect the Inca reverence for this vital resource. End of Tour: The tour will culminate in Cusco, where you will have the option to be guided back to the city center or continue exploring on your own.
