Description
Leave downtown Ushuaia in the morning and head towards the lakes along the famous Route 3. You will cross the Fuegian Andes and reach the Garibaldi Pass, where you can enjoy great views of Escondido and Fagnano lakes from above. From there, the real 4x4 adventure begins. We will leave the paved highway and take the old logger tracks. Your driver will navigate through dense forests, muddy trails, and rocky paths, taking you to amazing places that regular vehicles simply cannot reach.
After a fun off-road ride, we will arrive at the massive Lake Fagnano. Take some time to appreciate the incredible size of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Here, we will take a break while the guides prepare a classic Argentine barbecue (asado) for lunch.
How the rest of the day unfolds depends on the season and the specific tour option you select when booking. During the summer months, you can upgrade your experience by choosing the canoeing option. If you select this add-on, we will head to Lake Escondido for a 45-minute guided canoe ride to enjoy the landscape from the water.
If you visit during the winter, or choose the regular option, we will have lunch in a cozy shelter instead. Afterwards, we will visit the Tierra Mayor Winter Center. Here, you will have free time. Finally, we will get back in the vehicles and return to Ushuaia. (Note: During extreme winter weather, we use an alternative 4x4 route at Estancia La Carmen to ensure your safety and still provide a great experience).
