The experience begins with a 1 hour and 15 minute drive to the community of Boruca. There, we'll visit the artisan workshop, where you can observe the entire creative process firsthand: from selecting and carving the wood to the colorful and detailed painting that brings each mask to life. Local artists will share their knowledge, techniques, and the profound spiritual meaning behind each design.
