Description
Begin with early pickup from your hotel in Cusco’s historic center. After a scenic drive of approximately three hours, arrive near the base of Ausangate, surrounded by dramatic Andean landscapes and glacier views.
Following a professional safety briefing and driving practice session, ride your own quad bike (semi-automatic or automatic) across high-altitude trails reaching up to 4,700–4,800 meters above sea level.
Ride through open plains dotted with alpacas and enjoy panoramic glacier viewpoints without the physical demand of a long trekking route.
At a privileged viewpoint facing Ausangate, participate in a traditional Andean “Pago a la Tierra” (Earth Offering Ceremony) led by a local Andean spiritual guide.
Learn about the meaning of coca leaves, the concept of “Ayni” (reciprocity), and the symbolism behind the ritual offering. This cultural experience is conducted respectfully and preserves ancestral traditions.
After the ceremony, descend to a local Andean community for a buffet lunch. Depending on schedule and conditions, enjoy time at Pacchanta hot springs before returning to Cusco.
