Description
We will pick you up from the meeting point between 7:00 and 7:20 and we will go to the port. We will embark on the shores of Lake Titicaca in a speedboat and sail the waters of the highest navigable lake in the world.
We will arrive at our first stop: the famous floating islands of the Uros. We will disembark on one of the main islands to meet the locals, descendants of the ancestral pre-Inca people of the Uros. Here we will discover everything about one of the first cultures of the Andean highlands, while we admire this impressive artificial archipelago. Did you know that it is built with an aquatic plant called totora?
We will get back on the boat and head towards Taquile Island, the largest on Lake Titicaca. We will delve into the local culture exploring the artisanal garments made with high weaving techniques that make the locals famous.
Afterwards, we will make a stop to regain strength with a succulent traditional lunch. What a treat! With our appetite satisfied, it will be time to say goodbye to the island.
We will end the tour by dropping you off at your hotel in Puno eight hours after pickup.
