Description

Discover Patagonia's wildlife on our Puma Tracking tour in Torres del Paine, a unique experience designed for those seeking a deep connection with nature. We leave Puerto Natales early, before sunrise, to arrive at the park at the very time when the pumas are most active. To begin, we will give a brief talk on safety, wildlife behavior, and observation techniques. We then begin our search, accompanied by expert local guides who constantly monitor the pumas' recent movements, significantly increasing the chances of a sighting. During the tour, we will travel through various sectors outside the park and nearby areas, adapting the route in real time based on conditions and the latest reports. We use specialized equipment such as thermal monoculars, binoculars, and telescopes to spot animals from a distance, always observing them responsibly and without interfering with their natural behavior. In addition to pumas, it is common to spot guanacos, foxes, condors, rheas, and a wide variety of birds. All of this is set against the backdrop of Patagonia's most iconic landscapes, with privileged views of the Paine Massif, lakes, rivers, and vast steppes. Throughout the day, we take short breaks at strategic points to enjoy coffee and snacks, while sharing information about the wildlife, the history of the park, and conservation efforts in the area. This is a small-group tour, ideal for nature lovers, photographers, and travelers seeking an authentic, personalized experience. Our focus is on the quality of the experience, safety, and respect for the environment. The tour ends around 4:00 pm, with a return to Puerto Natales at approximately 6:00 pm (this time may vary depending on the start time, which is determined by the time of sunrise), after you have experienced an intense, exciting, and unforgettable day in one of the world's best destinations for puma watching.
