Description
Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Ushuaia. Head to Mirador Valle Carbajal, where you can admire the peat bogs, with a stunning view of the mountain range and the glaciers. Make a stopover at a winter resort.
Returning to Route 3, continue your journey, reaching the Andes mountain range crossing via Garibaldi Pass, the southernmost and terminal portion of the vast Andes mountain range.
Around mid-morning, arrive at Puesto La Carmen. Enjoy a hot drink and walk along the shore of Lake Fagnano, also known by the Ona people as 'The Horizon's Rest,' because the imaginary horizon line formed by the mountain range is interrupted by the lake. Then, continue on the other side.
Around noon, reach the Garibaldi Pass viewpoint to admire Lake Escondido from above. Its name comes from its location in a deep valley in the middle of the mountains. Return to the winter resort for lunch and then head back to the city of Ushuaia.

- In winter, Lake Fagnano is replaced by a stop at Valles Invernales (a ski resort at the base of Cerro Castor).
- Depending on availability and weather conditions, the excursion may alternate between the following winter resorts: Tierra Mayor, Las Cotorras, and Llanos del Castor, with priority given to Tierra Mayor.
