Description

Glide over the treetops of centuries-old trees, rivers, and waterfalls; marvel at the most incredible array of natural landscapes that surround La Amistad International Park and the famous Barú Volcano. The circuit spans 4.5 kilometers (2.8 miles) and is divided into 12 zip lines. You will zip through the trees and encounter an unknown world… a fascinating perspective on life that you never thought would be possible for you. This tour takes you through a cloud forest of centuries-old trees, waterfalls, mist, and bajareque vegetation. The wildlife among the treetops is vast and diverse, and with a bit of luck, you may spot monkeys, rodents, birds, and even the famous quetzal. You can also enjoy a wide variety of orchids and flowers.

Important Information

  • Children aged 5 to 14 must be accompanied by their parents or a responsible guardian during the tour. Adolescents aged 15 and over may participate in the activity unaccompanied, provided that their parent or responsible guardian completes the waiver, attends the safety briefing, and remains in the park. Children aged 5 to 10 years old will zip-line with one of our instructors (guides) at all times during the tour. The equipment you will use and the steel cables are capable of supporting many times the weight of a person, regardless of their size: 2,000 pounds (909 kg) for the harness and 10,000 pounds (4,500 kg) for the cable. However, there are maximum weight restrictions for participants: 170 pounds (77 kilograms) for women and 250 pounds (114 kilograms) for men.
