National Museum of Fine Arts of CubaAdmire the valuable collections of the National Museum of Fine Arts of Cuba as you pass through Havana
The National Museum of Fine Arts of Cuba is an exciting art museum that is housed in two buildings located next to the famous Paseo de Martí, in the center of Havana. It aims to restore, preserve and promote the works that are part of the plastic heritage of Cuba and is equipped with 24 rooms where old art collections are exhibited, art rooms dedicated to teachers of all times and rooms with temporary exhibitions.
One of the buildings, specifically The Asturian Center focuses on Cuban Art. In it, the works are exhibited in chronological order and are surprisingly varied. Here works by prominent artists such as Guillermo Collazo, Rafael Blanco, Raúl Martínez or Wilfredo Lam are exhibited.
The building of the Palace of Fine Arts, houses the Universal Art Collection, an international art show from 500 BC. to the present. This building highlights the great Spanish collection with a canvas by El Greco, Roman mosaics from two thousand years ago and Gainsborough canvas.

As a whole, they house one of the largest collections of paintings and sculptures in all of Latin America. If you spend a fair amount of time, it is advisable to see The Asturian Center, since the Cuban Art Collection is the most complete of the two. The museum also has a library specialized in plastic arts.
This is, without a doubt, one of the best art museums in the entire Caribbean. You can spend a whole day watching all kinds of art, from Cuban pop art to Greek ceramics.
