Many consider this store (called Fifth Avenue by the majority) as the best in Cuba, and this beautiful store in the picturesque Miramar neighborhood of Havana simply does not disappoint. Welcome to Carlos Robaina, who has been a part of the store for eight years, and who could tell the story of coming here as a young man with his father, the great Alejandro Robaina, who will stop here when he was in the city , he took the same seat in the corner of a back room, and savored a bit of Havana Club 7 Years with his cigar.
Like all the Habano Houses in Cuba, this store has a bar and seats, but Fifth Avenue is built for many guests. It has several rooms, each of them decorated comfortably, and even a full-service restaurant, the only cigar store in Havana with such amenities.
The staff knows the cigars and the humidor from floor to ceiling very well (it presents a shape reminiscent of an inverted question mark, hugging the wall on the other side of the cash register). The cabinets where customers store cigarettes are intended for aging and are behind a solid door with an ornate lock worthy of a bank vault of a Humphrey Bogart movie. There are 96 lockers here.
Ask for a Cuban coffee and smile, since it is, uniquely, sitting on a couple of tobacco leaves. If you have a large group, this is a House with space for all of you. Do not leave Cuba without entering here.
