Discover how the Royal Partagás Tobacco Factory is on your way through Havana, Cuba
Royal Tobacco Factory Partagas
The Royal Tobacco Factory Partagas, located in Centro Habana, north of the Parque de la Fraternidad, is one of the oldest and most popular tobacco factories in Havana. It was founded in 1845 by the Spaniard Jaime Partagás. This is the most visited factory in the country in terms of circuits.
Currently there are about 500 workers working around cigars of famous brands such as
Montecristo or Cohíba. When you visit it and make a group circuit you will discover how the leaves are separated and classified on the ground floor; and how the cigars are rolled, pressed, decorated and packed on the upper floors.
This
museum is especially interesting for travelers who have a certain interest in tobacco and / or Cuban work environments. The factory also houses a sales hall, where you can choose from a wide variety of
cigars, and a bar.
