Feel moved to the past by the captivating beauty of the
Cueva del Indio and know the history that keeps
La Cueva del Indio is an ancient indigenous cabin located 5.5 km north of Viñales and close to the town of San Vicente, in
Cuba. The cave was found in 1920 by a farmer named Juan Díaz and since then receives numerous visits.
Cave of the Indian
Inside the cave appeared cave paintings and also some archaeological remains from
pre-Columbian Cuban cultures. In its interior runs the San Vicente River and you can travel a stretch of it in a motorboat.
It is a very interesting attraction for tourists because the geological formations of stalactites and stalagmites that can be seen inside the cave constitute a beautiful spectacle. The Indian Cave is illuminated, which allows you to admire it in all its splendor.
