Casa del Che Cultural Center in La Cabaña
Casa del Che Cultural Center in La CabañaDiscover the Casa del Che Cultural Center in La Cabaña in Havana
The Casa del Che Cultural Center in La Cabaña is located in the first house that Che Guevara occupied in 1959, when Fidel Castro ordered him to move towards Santa Clara and occupy the area of La Cabaña in Havana, being the first place where Che sleeps on his arrival in Havana.
When Che arrived at this place, he occupied the La Cabaña Command, performing his duties in it and resting and dispatching important matters in the house, where there is an office in which he received influential visitors. In this same office many important aspects of the Revolution were discussed and decided.

The room exhibits unpublished photographs of characters taken inside the house itself, among which are: Fidel Castro, Alberto Castellanos, Olo Pantoja and Ramiro Valdés.
Currently the house can be visited and is distributed as follows: a portal, the reception, a work office that shows Che's objects, an exhibition of unpublished photographs, Che's room with personal objects and photographs, an exhibition hall with oil paintings, a workshop, a chess room with exposed boards and a photo of Che participating in a “Capablanca in Memoriam”; a protocol room with a very cozy atmosphere where conferences and projections are held; an exhibition hall on mate, Che's favorite drink; a cafeteria and a shop where you can buy souvenirs related to Che and the Revolution.
