Memorial to José Martí
On the ground floor of the monument you will find 79 Martian thoughts engraved with gold letters, scattered in five rooms. Right in front of the monument is a 17-meter-high marble statue that represents José Martí sitting and pensive.
The memorial was placed in this place in 1958 and, currently, is surrounded by 6 pillars that represent the old provinces in which
Cuba was divided, with their respective shields.
