On the ground floor of the monument you will find 79 Martian thoughts engraved with gold letters, scattered in five rooms. Right in front of the monument is a 17-meter-high marble statue that represents José Martí sitting and pensive.
The memorial was placed in this place in 1958 and, currently, is surrounded by 6 pillars that represent the old provinces in which Cuba was divided, with their respective shields.
